MY EXPERIENCE
Background & Expertise
ASPIRED ORGANIC GEOCHEMIST AND PALEOCEANOGRAPHER
(GRADUATE STUDENT)
DEPARTMENT OF OCEANOGRAPHY, TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
August 2018 - Recent
Hunting for lipid biological markers ("biomarkers") from marine sediment - known as GDGTs - to investigate global sea surface temperature during Earth's past climates, since the "Dinosaur Extinction" (66 Million years ago (Ma), Cretaceous-Paleogene Boundary)
Investigation global/regional/local SST variation from geological records to better understand how our earth operates in the warmer climate conditions, e.g., Paleogene period (Greenhouse world; 66 - 23 Ma)
PETROLEUM GEOLOGIST, CHEVRON THAILAND
August 2016 - June 2018
Identify hydrocarbon potentials and conduct detailed geological assessments within the extensional basin (mainly fluvio-deltaic depositional environments)
Manipulate geological data from over 5,000 drilled wells and establish meaningful data visualizations – such as detailed pore pressure analysis and geo-statistical reserves booking
Integrate cross-disciplinary data including geological, petroleum engineering, and drilling engineering data to optimize hydrocarbon exploration and production
HORIZON EARTH SCIENTIST, CHEVRON THAILAND
June 2013 - July 2015
Re-evaluate and discriminate regional pore pressure and temperature regime to enhance accuracy of predrilled reserves prediction for all undeveloped projects in the Gulf of Thailand
Participate and conduct a presentation (poster) in the 2015 Reservoir Management Chevron Bi-annually Technical Conference in Texas, United States – “Identifying Sources of Lost circulation in Erawan and Satun Fields”
Mentor new hire junior earth scientists in the team
